These devices are an innovative type of thermal controls which are generally used as an over-temperature protector in applications. They offer an extra degree of safety in many different applications because a heat source incorporated into their design prevents the device from resetting until the power source is disconnected. Once the power source is removed, the heat source is deactivated allowing the thermal control to reset and permit continued operation.
