Portage Electric Products is offering a new series of economical snap-action thermal protectors designed for a cost effective solution for protection in motor, transformer and lighting applications. Available with various bimetallic elements to match the current sensitivity of the device to the application.

• Snap-action design, quick break/quick make switching action.
• Ultra compact design with a high switching contact rating.
• Conductive bimetal construction: The bimetal carries the circuit current for maximum sensitivity under short circuit conditions.
• Drawn metal case has a low profile design.
• Case is electrically alive. Various insulating sleeves available.
• Available in a low and high bimetal resistance for optimum current and temperature sensitivity.
• Suitable for vacuum impregnation processes.
• Stocking programs available.

Calibration Temperature Range

• Available with nominal temperatures from 50°C to 150°C. In 5°C increments with a standard Tolerance of ±5° C
• Reset temperature approximately 70% of no-load opening temperature

Standard Cofiguration

• FC-M1D Protectors are equipped with two 100mm wires stripped 9.5mm, #20 awg. UL 3266 Black XLPE (Irradiated) 300V 125°C
