NORTH CANTON, OH – The new PEPI® J-2 thermostat combines the function of a thermal fuse with the reliability of a 100% tested bimetallic thermal control. This is the first single operation PEPI device offered. It is a snap action device with a reset temperature of less than 0°C, preventing it from resetting under normal operating conditions. It is designed so that the bimetallic element carries the circuit for maximum current sensitivity under short circuit conditions.
The new J-2 thermostats feature the fold-over, low profile case design found in other Model J Series devices. The J-2 is AC resistive with contact ratings of 15 amps/120 volts. Each Model J-2 device is shipped with a preset calibration temperature. They can be shipped with any kind of factory-applied insulating lead wires up to #18 gauge, including nickel strips. If desired, they can also be shipped without leads.
PEPI® single action thermostats and thermal protectors are used in a wide variety of applications including operating controls for small appliances, battery packs, small motors, transformers and converters, personal care products and numerous OEM applications for both domestic and international markets.
